HOT DOCS DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL

Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival, North America's largest documentary festival, offers an outstanding selection of over 200 films from Canada and around the world to Toronto audiences of more than 200,000 annually.

Almost 1,000 wonderfully dedicated volunteers devote their time and passions to ensuring the Festival is successful each year... and I got to thank them all personally (and make some new friends along the way).

Hot Docs’ dedication to inclusivity allowed me to step out of my official role to assist with providing resource packages to LGBTQ+ students at Docs for Schools, spearheading a proposal to Toronto Cinema’s to offer gender-neutral/non-binary washroom access at their venues, and to contribute to policies that created greater accessibility and inclusivity for staff, volunteers, and guests of the Festival and the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema.

I even got to check out a couple fantastic films while I was at it!
